This Sunday is National Pension Tracing Day – experts estimate there is over £19.4bn of unclaimed pension pots. Could some of that money be yours?
A big factor is people changing jobs – on average 11 times – and moving house, typically eight times, but forgetting to tell their pension company. It’s set to get worse. The Department for Work and Pensions believes that, by 2050, there may be as many as 50 million lost pensions.
Check out the National Pension Tracing Day website for useful resources and a step-by-step guide to tracking down a lost pension.
We will assess the impact of the proposed change and update you in a future communication. It is not expected to take effect before 2030.
