Move to CPIH

The government will change the way inflation is calculated by replacing the Retail Prices Index (RPI) with the Consumer Prices Index which includes owner-occupiers’ housing costs, known as CPIH. On average, the RPI was calculated one percentage point higher than CPIH.

We will assess the impact of the proposed change and update you in a future communication. It is not expected to take effect before 2030.
